First Minister visits Roslin Technologies HQ, the Roslin Innovation Centre
We were delighted to welcome First Minister of Scotland, Nicola Sturgeon MSP, to Roslin Technologies today as part of her visit to open the new Roslin Innovation Centre at Edinburgh University’s Easter Bush Campus.
Chief Executive Officer Glen Illing met with the First Minister and discussed with her how we are turning science innovations, many of which have been developed at the Roslin Institute, into marketable solutions to address some of the key global challenges in agri-tech and animal health – challenges that include feeding a growing global population and reducing the impact of farming on the world’s climate.
During the day the First Minister formally opened the Roslin Innovation Centre, which offers flexible laboratory and office space to life science companies, including those seeking to undertake collaborative research with experts on campus.
We recognise that growing Scotland’s impact on the agricultural industry is a top development priority for the Scottish Government and we were delighted to be part of a day that shone a spotlight on the incredible technologies and solutions that will be brought to market around the world.
